Srilanka - Day 6

Woke up to perhaps the most spectacular view ever, views so good, forgot to take any pictures. Not that photographs can ever do justice to the views seen by the 500 MP resolution that the human eye possesses. It was cloudy and the tiered clouds seemed to hover on the tips of the various mountain layers/ranges that are visible from their terrace. The hotel is nestled among trees of various kinds which have a variety of birds and animals that chirp and tweet. Add to all of this a tasty local breakfast with lots of variety and you have a near perfect morning.
Roadside views were amazing as always, lots of forestation
Our driver, whose name ive forgotten was pretty talkative when allowed and helpful too as he kept giving us information on various things to do and places to shop. He had helped us go to the unknown elephant ride place and to the nice jewelry shop and now he told us of the Noritake factory slightly off course from our route(there are only 2 in the world, one is in Japan). We took the little detour to discover the relatively low prices available (its still mighty expensive stuff), we took pictures, used 'bluetooth' to transfer them to the PC available, FB messaged them to our family back home and selected to buy some items. All in about an hours time. I managed to buy a shirt from the roadside for some reason.

Noritake stuff
We had our lunch in Dumulla at Gemanala. Dont recall much about it, was to busy trying to study the Srilankan map as we crossed from the western part to the north eastern side. Slow development taking place along the way, towns getting bigger, roads being reconstructed etc. The last couple of hours were pretty bumpy and tiring. Reached the ChaayaBlu, which is a pretty neat place with a massive beach front and a large swimming pool. After settling in to our room, took a small walk to get a low key but highly relaxing back and foot massage at the Suvek, which was very badly needed.

Hotel location is pretty superb
Walked to a nearby place for a surprisingly good roadside dinner. Some sandwiches and burgers were required to fill our appetite. Took a swim in the pool to end another adventurous and exciting day in Srilanka.
