In an article, http://www.iflscience.com/brain/most-psychology-papers-cant-be-reproduced, The Centre for Open Science (COS) tried to replicate 160 psychology studies and found out that only 36% showed the same results (5% chance of inaccuracy).
This really puts into question the authenticity and/or accuracy of such studies that we take as fact because we expect them to be thoroughly analyzed for errors and mistakes. Its deeply disconcerting to see these results even though COS suggests this is merely due to research standards being set too low.
Wonder how accurate research results are in other fields and sectors.
